Grand Hotel Gozo - Ghajnsielem

Great prunes and bacon for breakfast. The pool area has a very nice view of the bay where the ferry docks. The restaurant has a friendly staff. In general, Gozo is a very beautiful and peaceful island... Who wants privacy, you...  

The food was partly in the main restaurant, partly in the evening on the roof with a great view. However, it was sometimes quite windy there, so this was only possible twice. The staff - responsible for the restaurant - is simply fantastic!...  

The double room is airy with a superb view, tea/coffee making facilities, for example.

My room was with a shower, a plus for me. Super base for a city break in Ghajnsielem! Fuli Kiosk served dishes within 250 feet off the hotel. I loved the property.

We liked it all actually. No complaints. HUGE breakfast buffet. Very nice!

The superior room was large, clean and well appointed in a modern annex to the main hotel with a grand view of the ferry terminal and small boat harbour. The public rooms were small however and indicative of the hotels age although...

We had a large room overlooking the port. The hotel is very well connected and it is easy to get by bus and ferry anywhere in Gozo/Malta.

The hotel is a bit dated, but I don't know whether that was to be expected. The value for money was very good and the food tasted good and probably was of good quality.

Used the Grand as an overnight stop from Xlendi on Gozo, back to Malta. Great location on the hillside overlooking Mgarr harbour, which has a plentiful selection of good restaurants (see Lonely Planet guide). Nice enough hotel. Clean and comfortable, had a seaview room that...  

Highly recommend for couples seeking a getaway

Let me tell you about the staff at this place. They arranged a surprise upgrade for us, and the room was set up beautifully with candles and flowers. Can you imagine walking into that? Just...  

The luxury of the hotel made our stay very comfortable . The buffet breakfast was very good.

The Grand Hotel is very close to the Gozo Ferry, booking was very swift and easy. The room was comfortable to stay in, and offered a pleasant country view. The staff were very nice...  

great views but minor maintenance issues

The balcony offered fine views of the harbour and Comino island. The rooftop restaurant provided a good dining experience with a wonderful outdoor atmosphere.

The hotel appeared classic outside though some areas needed upkeep.

Very noisey, Late arrival we had requested a platter of cold meats which we did not get! Rooms/ reception areas could do with spraying for flies/mosquitoes as we were badly bitten....although this may have been to time of year as we have stayed before without this happening. We also had problems with room lock resulting in going up & down several times from the 5th floor to get the re-entry of door code. Very frustrating!

The view of the harbor was lovely. The staff were courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the food in the Thai restaurant, and they were amenable to making vegetarian meals for us. All in all it was a delightful visit....
